Identification for Enrichment Services

  • All students are considered for enrichment support. In addition to looking at the whole child, a matrix of multiple measures is used to identify students in need of enrichment. A combination of criteria in the areas of abilities, achievement, and behavior guide this process.

    Students New to the District

Students who received enrichment services in a previous district, a parent should contact the school/district to begin the identification process.  Parent recommendation and a records review process will be used to determine if the student is in need of enrichment services.

    Every Spring

    • 2nd and 5-Grade Students
      • The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is administered to all 2nd and 5th-grade students on an annual basis. CogAT scores, along with multiple measures, will be used to identify students in need of pull-out enrichment services for 3rd and 6th grade.
      • For students not identified by their CogAT scores, parent and teacher recommendations can be submitted in the spring of each year to determine a need for enrichment services.
