• The new school year is almost upon us which means that starting in July (or even earlier) we start to see school supplies fill store shelves. Images of notebooks, folders, backpacks, lunch boxes, and more fill our social media feeds, roadside billboards, and television screens. But did you know that one of the most important school supplies is free and available year round at your branch of the Burlington County Public Library System?  It is the good old library card!

Throughout hybrid and remote learning, a library membership can help provide students with access to print and electronic resources that are vital to their ongoing learning and school success.  Prior to the start of the school year, we are encouraging you and your child(ren) to visit the Burlington County Public Library System website to apply for a library card. The site is as follows:  https://www.bcls.lib.nj.us/applying-library-card

All Burlington County residents are eligible for library membership, as are active duty military personnel stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and their families. Please take advantage of this free and essential learning tool. Enjoy the remainder of the summer and thank you for your continued partnership with the Lumberton Township School District.
