Students in Need of Enrichment Services

  • Grades K-8 Personalized Learning

All teachers will provide enrichment activities that meet student’s needs. Some examples could include challenging learners with higher-level texts based on reading levels and project-based activities to demonstrate mastery of content and skills.

    Grades K-2
    In-Class Enrichment

All students will participate in a series of monthly classes facilitated by the enrichment teacher. The curriculum is focused on problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Lessons expose students to engaging and hands-on activities to use divergent/creative, convergent/analytical, and deductive/convergent thinking. This will provide us with an opportunity to observe students and how they interact with challenging activities. These observations will assist in the identification process.

    Grades 3-8 Pull-Out Enrichment

Students who are found in need of enrichment are invited to participate in classes using a pull-out model of instruction. The enrichment teacher will meet students once per 6-day cycle for one period. They will participate in project-based learning activities using Defined Learning as the core instructional program to focus on higher-level thinking skills and problem-solving across content areas.

    Enrichment for Twice-Exceptional Students

Enrichment for twice-exceptional students will start annually in September and end in May.

    Future Goals

One of our many goals will be to continue exposing students to project-based learning across the curriculum, the arts and career exploration through guest expert speakers.
